Vintage military commode FINE hardwood, brass and leather.

We offer for sale this beautiful mid-century military chest of drawers from the 1960s in mahogany with English brass fittings and an Oxblood leather writing surface. This piece of campaign furniture is very well made and decorative, featuring a folding desk section in the centre and a large slim storage cupboard at the top. This type of furniture was used for officer's gloves, buttons, and possibly weapons. The chest of drawers has been cleaned, waxed, and polished. There is a patina related to age and use with some normal marks. Dimensions (at the widest point): Height 110 cm, Width 95.5 cm, Depth 52 cm. Please note that the hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration. Regular waxing is recommended to preserve the moisture of the leather.
