Victorian military pine commode with brass fittings.

We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful Victorian military chest of drawers made of pine, dating from around 1880, complete with its original fittings. A very well-made and functional chest of drawers. These are pieces of military campaign furniture and they are stunning from every angle, showing a lot of patina and signs of use and wear as one would expect from period campaign pieces that have been used. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished the wood, which has a beautiful sheen. Dimensions: Height 79.5 cm, width 111.5 cm, depth 53 cm. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon. Condition: Please refer to the very detailed photos that are part of the description regarding the condition. Please note that antique and period items like leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular waxing to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended to be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as it dries out and discolours.
