Folk art painted bridal armoire

Exceptional bridal armoire painted in its original paint. The colors and patterns of this armoire are magnificent and give the whole piece a rustic and characteristic appearance. This piece of furniture comes from the Rothenburg ob der Tauber region in Bavaria and dates from around 1800. It is in immaculate and restored condition. The moldings and legs, for example, have been expertly replaced. Old woodworm marks can occasionally be seen, which have of course been checked and treated. This piece of furniture has three shelves inside. In the past, it was customary to give this type of bridal furniture to the bride and groom at a wedding. This furniture was then placed in a state room on the farm, which was rarely used for distinguished guests or special occasions.
