Painted Folk Art Bridal Cabinet 1815

Beautifully painted bridal wardrobe from Germany, specifically from Franconia. The wardrobe has a very rustic appearance and shows plenty of character. For its age, it is in good condition, although there are naturally some light signs of use. Some decorative moldings have been replaced, and the paint on the left side is quite worn. The wardrobe features a warm ochre-yellow painting, and the door is decorated with tulips and the year 1815. The interior is equipped with shelves and coat hooks, and additional shelves can be easily added if desired. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a wedding gift to the couple. These pieces were then placed in a show room on the farm, which was only rarely used for important guests or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history.
