Exceptional antique bridal cupboard from 1769. The design of this piece of furniture is very primitive and simple, as is the painting. The whole is finished with a 'faux-bois' painting and the panels are decorated with a tree of life and the year: 1769. This piece comes from southern Germany, specifically from Franconia. Of course, there are some light signs of use, although the cupboard is still in good condition for its age. The layout of the cupboard consists of a shelf and coat hooks. If desired, more shelves can easily be added. The lock unfortunately no longer works, but the door can be neatly closed with a click system. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. These pieces were later placed on the farm in a show room that was only rarely used for important visitors or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history.
