Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet dated 1818

Antique bridal wardrobe from 1818, originating from southern Germany. The heavily aged character and original paintings give it an amazing appearance. Both the design of the wardrobe and the painting are simple and primitive, but authentic and a typical example of folk art from the region. The wardrobe is decorated with flowers and stripe motifs. A striking detail is the carved ornament on the crest. The wardrobe has been thoroughly checked and professionally restored, with attention to originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is worn but preserved, and the patina has been maintained. The layout consists of one drawer and a later added rod. The wardrobe can be locked with the original working lock. Note that the eye of the key has a crack, but it is still sturdy and can be used without problems. Old, sporadically present woodworm traces have been checked and treated. The wardrobe can be disassembled for transport.
