Painted Folk Art Bridal Cabinet 1830

Beautifully painted bridal wardrobe from Germany, specifically from the Swabian Alps. The wardrobe has a very rustic appearance and shows plenty of character. For its age, it is in good condition, although there are naturally some light signs of use. There are occasional old woodworm traces, which have been checked again. The wardrobe has a well-functioning lock with key and is equipped with shelves inside. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a wedding gift to the couple. These pieces were later placed on the farm in a show room that was only rarely used for important guests or special occasions. A beautiful and decorative piece of history.
