Sheraton desk restored Victorian leather

We are delighted to offer for sale this fully restored Victorian Sheraton Revival partner's desk with a burgundy leather writing surface. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful desk I have ever seen; the quality of the inlays is sublime, following every corner and panel. The desk leather is new burgundy bovine leather with gold leaf embellishments. The height of the piece can be increased by approximately 4-5 cm if we install brass or porcelain casters, which I am willing to do at cost if the new owner wishes. This piece has been restored from top to bottom, with new desk leather as mentioned, the wood has been cleaned and then completely French polished. Dimensions (at the widest point): Height: 66 cm, Width: 125 cm, Depth: 79.5 cm. Leg height: 59.5 cm, Leg width: 48.5 cm. Overall condition: good, refinished, replacements made, wear consistent with age and use. We recommend an annual waxing of the leather to prevent moisture loss, and not to expose the hand-dyed leather to prolonged direct sunlight to avoid drying and discolouration.
