The famous cabinetmakers James Winter & Sons were based in Soho London between 1823 and 1870 and produced remarkable antique furniture. James Winter founded his business in 1823, specialising in the restoration and sale of antique and second-hand furniture. This business thrived throughout the Regency and Victorian periods with beautiful designs and high-quality restored furniture, catering to the varied tastes of their Victorian clients. We have cleaned, waxed, and polished the piece from top to bottom. It shows the normal signs of patina associated with nearly 200 years of use; nevertheless, it is in very good condition for the period. Dimensions: Height: 78 cm, Width: 137 cm, Depth: 65 cm. Height of leg space: 61 cm, Width: 53 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough. Condition: Please refer to the detailed photos which are an integral part of the condition description. Original vintage items, particularly leather seating, will always have a natural patina in the form of creases and wear. We recommend annual waxing to preserve moisture. Additionally, hand-dyed leather should not be exposed directly to sunlight for long periods as it may dry out and discolour.
