We are delighted to offer for sale this superb original double-sided partner's desk in walnut, very rare, dating from around 1780, George III period, with period handles and a green leather surface. A very well-crafted desk from the late 18th century, a rare double-sided piece from this period, sublime. The front features nine traditional drawers, while the back has two cupboards. Ideal for two people sharing the same desk, in a legal context or for a boss and assistant. The desk includes all original handles and a green leather top with a beautiful patina. The desk has been cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished. Normal signs of wear associated with over 240 years of service are present, the leather shows a natural patina with cracks and creases, everything functions as it should. Complete restoration (stripped wood and French polish) is available upon request. Dimensions at the widest points: Height 78.5 cm, Width 122.5 cm, Depth 85 cm. Condition: good, wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration.
