Restored leather military campaign desk Harrods Kennedy

We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent twin pedestal desk for military campaign partners, vintage, sold by Harrods London, made by REH Kennedy, featuring a hand-dyed cigar brown leather writing surface. A wonderful find, quite rare as it has a total of nine drawers, where usually a file drawer takes the place of two drawers. The wood is finished in dark mahogany and the brown leather top has been hand-dyed by my leather dyers. The condition is perfect for its age, the piece has been fully restored including a French polish of the wood, all new brown leather desk pads with gold leaf detailing, and a polished finish on the brass; it is the best example of its kind. Desk dimensions: Height: 76 cm, Width: 121.5 cm, Depth: 53 cm. Leg space dimensions: Height: 60.5 cm, Width: 54 cm. All measurements taken at the widest point. Note that for vintage and original items like leather, a natural patina appears in the form of cracks, creases, and wear; it is recommended to regularly wax to retain moisture. The hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration.
