Antique walnut commode from 1860 with a marble top and original key.

We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite continental walnut and marble commode dating from around 1860, complete with the original key. This very aesthetic and well-crafted piece is a perfect example of Biedermeier furniture; the colour and grain of the wood are stunning and contrast beautifully with the black marble top. In terms of condition, the wood has been deeply cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished from top to bottom, showing some light marks due to age and use, but overall it is in very good condition for its age. Dimensions: Height: 98.5 cm, Width: 125.5 cm, Depth: 57 cm (measured at the widest points). Please note that vintage and original items, particularly leather, always show a natural patina with creases and signs of wear. It is recommended to wax annually to preserve moisture. Hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to prolonged direct sunlight, as this may lead to drying and discolouration.
