Mirror from the Napoléon III period, second half of the 19th century, featuring a frame made of warm-toned burl wood with very decorative veining. The mirror takes on an oval shape set within an architectural frame, enhanced with rich finely chased gilded bronze ornaments: leafy drops in the corners and a prominent central pediment decorated with a shell and scrolls. The mercury glass provides a beautiful reflection with slight alterations that contribute to the overall charm. The original parquet back confirms a quality manufacture. Dimensions: Height: 102 cm. Width: 70 cm. Depth: 3 cm. Condition: Good overall condition. Some wear and minor usage accidents on the veneer and gilding. Slight pitting and signs of age on the glass, without hindrance to use. A very beautiful decorative piece, ideal above a fireplace, console, or in an entrance.
