Octagonal bevelled mirror – 1900s – Mahogany stained wooden frame

Large octagonal wall mirror with a solid dark mahogany wood frame and bevelled glass. The corners of the frame are cut at an angle, and the top features a slight curve. The bevelled mirror is characteristic of quality productions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The back reveals a handcrafted construction in raw wood with assembled planks, bearing a 'BREVETÉ' stamp accompanied by catalogue or series numbers, attesting to French manufacturing. Dimensions: H. 128 cm, W. 110 cm, weight 20 kg. The frame shows some light wear and small surface chips, consistent with the age of the piece. Overall condition is very good for an antique item. Surface cleaning is required. The glass and frame are entirely original.
