Georgian oak chest of drawers restored around 1800

We are delighted to offer this magnificent Georgian English partner's desk, original and restored in oak, with a hand-dyed brown leather writing surface from around 1800. A very well-crafted traditional English desk. The wood is entirely oak with a beautiful period patina, and the light brown leather top features lovely cut work. The drawers are deep and slightly oversized, likely a secretary desk. The item has been fully restored: the wood has regained its original colour and then been French polished, and the leather top has also been restored and hand-dyed in a rich tobacco colour, with patinated marks that testify to the age and honest character of the piece.
