We are delighted to offer for sale this magnificent original George Smith Signature Scroll sofa with Howard brown leather armrests, and cushions in tartan Scottish wool, filled with feathers. This sofa is part of a suite. The frame is made of beech and oak with fibre padding at the back. The sofa comes in three depths, this one is large. The seat cushions are very large, generously filled with feathers, and the back cushions fit under the back of the sofa, preventing sitting on the edge of the cushion, which prevents sagging and provides a more comfortable seat. The upholstery is made of luxury heritage leather, hand-dyed. The cushions are in tartan Scottish wool, characteristic of English country houses. The patina of the leather is pleasant and vintage, and the wool cushions are in good condition with only two very discreet small holes. Dimensions: Height: 85 cm, Width: 183 cm, Depth: 102 cm for the frame alone, 107 cm to the front of the cushions, Seat height: 54 cm. Measurements are taken at the widest point.
