Pair of polychrome corner cabinets George I circa 1700

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite and important pair of antique polychrome corner cabinets from the George I period, circa 1700, one of which features King Henry VIII. These cabinets are museum-quality examples dating from the late 17th century to the very early 18th century. They have been cleaned, waxed, and polished, retaining all the original patina marks expected from pieces over 320 years old. The polychrome painting used is a technique that dates back several centuries and literally lasts forever. These pieces are made of pine and are polychromed in the George I style. The condition is good, with wear consistent with age and use, and slight fading of colours. An exceptional rarity in the private market.
