Hand-painted Swedish wardrobe circa 1800

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original Swedish wardrobe dating from around 1800, hand-painted in green with a decoration of an angel playing the harp. This hall wardrobe is very aesthetic, well-made, and collectible. Originally designed for the hall as a coat cupboard, it has mainly been used as a wardrobe for folded linen. The paint is original and well-executed. Dimensions Height: 184 cm, Width: 117 cm, Depth: 50 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: Wear consistent with age and use, slight minor discolouration. Please refer to the detailed photos that are part of the description regarding the condition. Please note that vintage and period items like leather seating always exhibit a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. Regular application of wax is recommended to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended to be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as it may dry out and discolour.
