Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cupboard 1825

Painted folk art bridal cupboard, dating from 1825 and originating from Franconia, southern Germany. The cupboard is still in its original, beautifully worn blue-grey painting and is decorated with beautiful floral paintings on the panels and characteristic stripe motifs on the crest. A particularly atmospheric example of regional folk art from this period, where the lived-in painting gives the piece of furniture a wonderfully authentic character. The cupboard still has the original lock with matching key and is equipped inside with coat hooks and shelves. Occasionally present old woodworm traces have been carefully checked and treated. Some parts of the crest have been expertly restored in the past. 189cm high, 127cm wide, 52cm deep. This item must be collected. Or inquire without obligation for delivery costs.
