Antique Rustic Farmhouse Folk Art Painted Bridal Cabinet 1822

Exceptional antique painted bridal wardrobe from southern Germany, dated 1822. A special piece thanks to the beautiful folk art painting with colourful floral panels and richly executed marbled decorations all around. The wardrobe is in original, lived-in condition and has a beautiful weathered patina that gives the piece a lot of character. The wardrobe has been fully checked, treated against old woodworm traces and finished with a transparent layer of beeswax to preserve the original painting. The original decorative mouldings show some signs of use but have been preserved with their highly decorative marbled painting. Inside are two later added clothes rails. An authentic and decorative piece of furniture with a particularly beautiful patina.
