Cylinder desk and marquetry from the end of the 19th century

This marquetry cylinder desk, dating from the end of the 19th century, is an elegant and refined piece. It has a rosewood veneer for the floral motifs and an ebony fillet marquetry for the diamond motifs. On top of the piece of furniture rests a mottled brown marble, measuring 81.5 x 22.5 cm, with a slight crack. Bronze accents add a touch of sophistication, including the drawer pulls and shutter handle. Inside, you will find three fruit wood drawers and a sliding tray, decorated with a green felt mat measuring 75 x 39 cm once open. The desk rests on four slightly arched legs, which gives it additional elegance. It is a beautiful piece in good general condition which will bring undeniable charm to your space. Different types of solid wood make up this pretty piece of furniture. Overall dimensions: ht 105.5 with marble X 48.5 pf X 90.5 long. 76.5 ht under the sliding top and 59.5 ht under the middle drawer to slide a chair or armchair. The 3 small drawers inside measure: 7.5 ht. 2 drawers are 20 lg X 14.5 pf + 2 storage compartments. 1 drawer is 29 long x 14.5 ft + 1 storage compartment.
