Baroque walnut bureau from Piedmont, second half of the 18th century, featuring a refined interplay of maple inlays. The delicately curved façade presents two drawers with elegant scroll and leaf motifs, echoed on the rounded uprights, sides, and the upper drop-down. The latter is supported by two sliding brackets, revealing an interior compartment with an open shelf and six drawers. The four legs and the carved and shaped crossbar add an extra touch of elegance. The interiors are made of poplar. The bronze handles and lock entries provide a precious detail to this period piece.
