Elegant and rare wall-mounted furniture designed by A.R.P. (Atelier de Recherche Plastique) in the 1950s. Despite its generous proportions, it has a remarkable visual lightness, combining a teak structure with particularly streamlined lines, sliding doors in white opaline glass, and wooden storage elements. The various doors can slide to reveal shelves and storage spaces, allowing for a change in the appearance of the facade. The construction details are particularly well executed: visible joints, integrated circular handles, discreet rails, and a beautiful continuity of the wood grain. The piece is designed to be fixed directly to the wall (special structure provided and easy to install; we can also install it if needed), without legs, which enhances its architectural character and modernity. A piece that is both functional and sculptural, characteristic of the research conducted by A.R.P. in the 1950s around rational, modular, and visually light furniture. Installation can be provided by us; depending on your situation, we will need to provide a quote. France, circa 1955. A.R.P. – Atelier de Recherche Plastique.
