Rare and elegant large "Reconstruction" wardrobe designed by Joseph-André Motte and produced by Charron in France around 1950. The piece presented is appealing due to its generous proportions and particularly graphic design. The wooden front, with its warm teak hue, is rhythmically adorned with long vertical doors and remarkable golden brass handles. One of the doors features a large mirror, adding depth and brightness to the overall piece while enhancing its function as a dressing area. The furniture rests on an elegant black metal base, intentionally light and elevated, with horizontal and vertical lines contrasting with the warmth of the wood. The interior reveals the functional intelligence of Motte's design. Behind the doors unfolds a particularly rational and generous storage system, composed of various compartments, shelves, and drawers that allow for the organisation of both folded clothes and personal items. The design prioritises optimal use of space while maintaining a high level of clarity among the different elements.
