Ancient Indian furniture Damchiya

Indian sideboard in teak wood, details in matt gilded metal, wooden carvings and small mirrors. The damchiya was the traditional chest containing the dowry that the indian bride took with her to settle with her husband. This traditional piece of furniture was handmade at the request of the bride's family, in anticipation of the wedding. Each piece is therefore unique! It has a double door (see photo).
