Vintage Murano Glass Floor Lamp, 1970s

Italian floor lamp with a special base and lampshade. The special detail of this lamp is the elaborate glass lampshade. The glass is designed in waves, mimicking the shape of a classic fabric lampshade. It rests on a structure with three walkways. The offset stem ends with a flat plate base at the bottom. The visible cable exits at the top. The lamp features a cord dimmer. The lampshade bears a sticker with a well-known inscription from handmade Murano lamps: “Apparenti difetti del vetro sono dovuti alla lavorazione artistica eseguita a mano dal maestro vetraio.” The lamp is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina. The base has been repainted grey.
