Beautifully crafted Swedish Modernist tripod floor lamp in solid oak and polished brass, marked “GO 12 WDH” on the brass collar where the upper stem meets the wooden shaft. The design bears a strong resemblance to the renowned G-34 floor lamp by Bergboms, differing only in a few subtle details, most notably in the sculpted form of the tripod base. And what a base it is — three elegantly tapered oak legs radiate outward in a graceful star form, each tip tapering to a fine point. The legs have a beautifully organic, almost feather-like silhouette that gives the lamp a light, sculptural presence despite its solid construction. The wooden shaft rises from the base in a single clean line, transitioning via a polished brass collar into a slim brass upper stem, decorated with a delicate turned ring detail. The lamp is in excellent condition with virtually no marks or blemishes. Importantly, the wooden pole is perfectly straight — always a key quality indicator with vintage wooden floor lamps. The lamp has been rewired and is fitted with an E27 socket. The white fabric shade shown in the photos is included.
