Metal floor lamp by Mario Ruiz for Metalarte

Elegant floor lamp by the Spanish manufacturer Metalarte. The design resembles a tree. The base acts as the trunk, from which two arms extend like branches holding the lampshade above a ring. The ring is arranged asymmetrically and open so that one can see through the lamp. The lamp is entirely white, both inside and out, to enhance reflection. It is of high quality, made entirely of metal, except for the edges of the diffuser which are made of plastic. The lampshade itself is also metal and therefore waterproof. The light is diffused by the diffusers, reversing the classic principle of the luminaire, which is usually translucent. The diffusers are made of frosted methacrylate below and opaque above. The cable exits the lamp beneath the base and passes through a cable conduit. The base is rubberised underneath to protect the floor. The condition is very good with some signs of wear. There are 2 cracks in the lower cover of the diffuser.
