French fruitwood pot cupboard circa 1820

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original French antique pot cupboard dating from around 1820. One of the most beautiful items I have seen this year, a French farmhouse pot cupboard over 200 years old. The cupboard comes with the original key, which works on some days. The piece is made of solid fruitwood with a sublime patina. The wood is simply stunning. In terms of condition, this piece is truly characterised by its antique appearance, with much patina adding charm and charisma. We have treated the wood three times against woodworm. The wood has then been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom. The internal shelves appear to be more recent replacements. The dimensions are Height 142 cm, Width 138.5 cm, Depth 48.5 cm, measurements taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon. The condition is good with wear consistent with age and use, as well as slight discolouration.
