Sofa bed by Charlotte Perriand, Les Arcs 1970

Sofa bed from the Résidence Nova in Les Arcs, designed by Charlotte Perriand as part of her extensive project to renovate the Savoyard resort. Made of solid pine, the slatted frame incorporates two sliding drawers cleverly concealed behind a drop-down door. The seat, consisting of a mattress and foam cushions, is upholstered in a midnight blue fabric by Nobilis, offering a subtle contrast to the warm wood tone. The sofa unfolds into a practical and comfortable 190 cm x 80 cm bed. Seat height: 45 cm. Provenance: Résidence Nova, Les Arcs. Signs of wear on the bed frame. Ref 7520.
