Large bench in solid pine designed in the spirit of mountain furnishings developed by Charlotte Perriand for French alpine resorts in the 1970s, particularly in Méribel. With its simple and architectural lines, this model perfectly illustrates the designer's philosophy: prioritising the essential, valuing natural materials, and creating durable, functional, and timeless furniture. Made from solid pine, this bench is appealing due to its generous proportions, beautiful original patina, and authenticity. The marks of time testify to its history and enhance its character. An old mark of moisture is visible on one of the legs, which is now perfectly stabilised and integrated into the overall patina of the piece. Equally elegant in an entrance, around a large table, or at the end of a bed, this bench is an emblematic piece of French mountain design from the second half of the 20th century. In very good vintage condition. Original patina. Signs of use consistent with the age and use of the piece. An old mark of moisture is visible on one leg (see photographs).
