Charlotte Perriand, Les Arcs bench around 1973

This example of a sofa bed once formed part of the furnishings of the famous Résidence Nova in Les Arcs, a creation by the talented Charlotte Perriand. The structure of this piece of furniture, made with carefully arranged pine slats, conceals two cleverly hidden rolling drawers, accessible via a discreet drop-down front. The seat mattress and foam cushions are dressed in an elegant dark grey wool cover from the renowned house of Nobilis. The sofa easily transforms into a bed measuring 190 cm X 80 cm, providing an ideal resting space. Seat height: 45 cm. Provenance: Résidence Nova, Les Arcs.
