We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning partner's desk, fully restored, inspired by Thomas Chippendale and most likely made by Arthur Brett, in solid mahogany, in perfect restored condition. This desk is very large, comfortably accommodating two people with two additional side seats. The main body is made of solid mahogany, with finely carved pillars in the shape of lion heads and a base with lion paw feet, a style dating back to the 17th century. The wood has been refinished with traditional French polishing, while retaining its original patina. The leather top has also been restored, hand-dyed six times, aged, and sealed in a beautiful oxblood burgundy colour. The desk includes three brass cable guides for tidy cable management. For ease of transport, the top is removable, and the desk consists of two large pedestals and two central drawers, making it adaptable to most spaces. Dimensions: Height: 84 cm, Width: 205 cm, Depth: 130 cm. Knee height: 67 cm, width: 61 cm. Please refer to the detailed images for more information on the condition, which is good with wear consistent with age and use.
