Ergo one bay teak wall unit, Norway, 1960s

This fully renovated Scandinavian teak wall unit comes from Norway from the 1960s. It is a completely modular shelving system model called “Ergo, ” designed by John Texmon and Einar Blindheim for Blindheim Møbelfabrikk. The overall set size is H: 188 / W: 83.5 / D: 36 cm. It features a practical cabinet with four drawers and an inner shelf, a display cabinet with a characteristic pattern, and two open shelves for books and decorative objects. Slightly curved cabinets make an organic, warm impression, and sculptural rails create an elegant and grand-looking statement. This piece is perfect for a living room, bedroom, or hallway. It creates a very decorative, sculpture-like effect.  The set includes: 2 shelves 21 cm depth, A cabinet with four drawers H: 43 / W: 78.5 / D: 35.5 cm, drawers inner height 8 cm, A display cabinet H: 43 / W: 78.5 / D: 23.5 cm, 2 teak uprights, 188 cm each, Brass hardware. The unit has been fully renovated. Doors and drawers work properly and smoothly. The wood has been cleaned with professional compounds and finished with layers of satin lacquer identical to the original finish.
