Poul Cadovius teak wall unit for Cado, 1960s

This teak wall unit with a desk-shelf was designed by Poul Cadovius and made by Cado in the 1960s. Its simple form provides elegance as well as very practical display and storage space.  Overall set size is H: 198 / W: 164 / D: 38 cm. It features a spacious sliding door cabinet, a bunch of open shelves, a desk-shelf, and a sliding glass door cabinet, perfect for keeping your items away from dust and still nicely exposed. If you lack space in your apartment,  this set with a floating desk-shelf is an ideal solution for creating a home office space. It's fully modular. All elements are 80 cm wide and can be arranged as needed. Hung, lower, higher, and interchanged. Great carpentry and versatility have been key features of Cadovius units. They are extremely well built and are still in perfect shape after 60 or more years of usage. It will last the next decades, still charming with its timeless design in your living room or office.  This set consists of: A desk-shelf 38 cm depth, 4 shelves 20 cm depth, A cabinet with sliding doors H: 42 / W: 80 / D: 38 cm, A display cabinet H: 33 / W: 80 / D: 24.5 cm, Three wooden rails 198 cm long, Black-painted metal hardware. The wall unit has been renovated. Our team ensured all components fit together well. The wood has been cleaned with professional compounds and finished with a few layers of Danish oil to add protection and enhance the grain. The engraving “Made in Denmark” located on the back of the shelves confirms the authenticity of the furniture’s origin. The original “Kontrol nummer” label has been preserved on the display cabinet. Overall, in fantastic vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use. We have many more Cadovius shelves.
