Danish mid-century oak shelving unit in Cadovius style, 1970s

The minimalist and functional Scandinavian mid-century oak shelving unit was made some time in the 1970s in Denmark. The shelves can be hung higher or lower using a simple system. Overall dimensions are H: 203 / W: 83 / D: 30 cm. Designed in the style of Poul Cadovius, this minimalist wall system embodies the timeless Scandinavian approach to storage—light, practical, and beautifully proportioned. Using four short rails instead of long ones increases the arrangement possibilities, allowing for both horizontal and vertical layouts. You can also separate the shelving unit and place it on two walls or in different rooms. It also makes shipping easier and more cost-effective. The set consists of: 3 shelves 25 cm depth, 1 shelf 30 cm depth, 1 shelf 20 cm depth, 4 solid wood rails, 101 cm each, Solid brass hangers. The unit has been fully renovated. The shelves have been sanded down and coated with a thin layer of satin lacquer for durability and easy maintenance. Pegs have been used to cover the old unoriginal holes. Despite its age, the set remains in great vintage condition and is ready to serve for many more decades. We have over 200 Danish shelves from the mid-20th century. We offer them in various sets.
