Restored leather canapé in Howard & Son style

We are delighted to offer for sale this beautifully restored three-seater sofa in burgundy brown leather. An aesthetic and decorative sofa, the leather has been renovated and presents a lovely Victorian gentleman's club appearance. The cushions are padded, and the base of the sofa is equipped with serpentine springs. The front legs unscrew and are fitted with brass castors. In terms of condition, the leather shows a lovely 100-year-old patina with some spots, and the fabric seat cover has a small hole in the top right corner, which is naturally invisible under the cushions; otherwise, it is in good condition. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Dimensions: height 84 cm, width 181 cm (frame only) 185 cm including the cushion overhang, depth 106 cm (frame only) 110 cm including the cushion overhang, seat height 50 cm. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon. Please refer to the very detailed images that are part of the condition description. Please note that original vintage items like this leather seat will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular polishing to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it may dry out and fade.
