An exceptional piece from the renowned Jinlong Manufacture (Beijing Gold Inlaid Lacquer Furniture Factory), this large black lacquer cabinet is a masterpiece of Chinese craftsmanship from the second half of the 20th century. More than just a simple storage unit, it is a true collector's item. Its façade and side panels feature spectacular inlay work in natural stones (soapstone, jade, quartz) and mother-of-pearl, creating finely detailed animated and floral scenes, all in relief. The details that make the difference: Luxury craftsmanship: Each panel is a work of art. The palace scenes on the front and the naturalistic motifs (birds, peonies) on the sides testify to the ancestral know-how of the workshops in Beijing. Quality of materials: Unlike modern copies, the inlays here are made from authentic hard stones, and the lacquer exhibits the depth and shine characteristic of prestigious productions from that era. Versatility: Originally designed as a display piece, its generous dimensions and four opening doors make it an ideal storage cabinet for household linens, precious china, or an art library. Condition: The piece is in beautiful overall condition. It shows an authentic patina with some slight signs of wear on the lacquer (visible in the photos), which attest to its history and age. The inlays are remarkably well preserved. Dimensions: Length: 93cm X Width: 51cm X Height: 128cm.
