English black lacquered cabinet with two doors, each decorated with a chinoiserie scene in gold and ochre tones on a black base. Depicted are pavilions and pagodas, figures on a bridge and in a garden, a crane in flight and a deer. Made in the mid-20th century, in the tradition of 18th-century English and continental chinoiserie lacquer cabinets. Signs of use and age visible, including light wear to the top edge and some paint losses. Dimensions: 107L X 42.5D X 92H cm.
