Art Nouveau sugar bowl from the early 20th century, made in Sweden from metal covered with silver, probably brass, in line with the Scandinavian tradition of applied arts. The proportional, stable form is highlighted by cool, slightly matte silver with a natural patina. The upper part is decorated with a frieze of geometric embossing in the form of repeating, raised squares with central indentations, harmoniously encircling the vessel. The smooth walls contrast with the richly crafted handle—ascetic, architecturally set on stylised, decorative mounts, topped with an openwork decoration. The construction elements show precise joints and rivets, testifying to the solid craftsmanship of the early last century. The object bears minor signs of use, including subtle scratches and natural tarnishing, characteristic of authentic Art Nouveau pieces. No indications of major restoration work, overall very well preserved.
