A sugar bowl in the form of a basket, made of nickel-plated brass with a gilded interior, originating from Germany from the early 20th century – from the flourishing period of Art Nouveau. The body rests on a raised, round foot decorated with delicate beading, giving the whole stability and a smooth line. The outer surface is kept in a cool, silvery tone with a high gloss, contrasting with the warm, matte gilding of the interior. The edge of the bowl features a rhythmic, wavy ornament, present both outside and inside, emphasizing the organic aesthetics of the era. The handle, also nickel-plated, is bent in a soft arch and complemented by two round cutouts. The proportions are balanced – a wide, open bowl and a solid base. Only minor signs of use are visible on the surface: delicate scratches, slight patina, no major damage or signs of repair. Preserved in very good condition, with original period details.
