Large fireplace mirror from the Louis-Philippe period (circa 1830-1850), in a vertical rectangular format with rounded upper corners, characteristic of the style of this period. Frame in wood and stucco, gilded with gold leaf. The front features a wide convex moulding adorned with a finely engraved crosshatch decoration, bordered on the glass side by an inner groove fitted with a beaded moulding (row of beads). The back reveals a structure made of raw wooden planks assembled horizontally with a vertical reinforcing crossbeam, typical of 19th-century craftsmanship. The original glass has been replaced with a 7 mm thick glass. Original gilding and added restoration gilding. Dimensions: H. 144 cm – W. 97 cm. Weight: 50 kg.
