Oval mirror Napoleon III – Gilded with gold leaf – Wood and stucco

Oval wall mirror, Napoleon III period, circa 1860-1880, gilded with gold leaf on a wooden and stucco support. The frame features a rounded double-groove profile, simple and robust, enhanced by an inner frieze sculpted with repetitive floral and geometric motifs. The glass, slightly patinated, appears to be original with some oxidation marks along the edges indicating its age. The back reveals a traditional handcrafted construction: solid wood panel, brass upholstery nails, and a multi-cord hanging system. The gold leaf gilding is in generally good condition. Cleaning to be carried out according to the desired use. Dimensions: H. 75 cm. Weight: 10 kg.
