Mirror of the in-between – Louis XVI style – White lacquered and gilded with gold leaf

Louis XVI style mirror, vertical rectangular format, frame in white lacquered wood and gold leaf. The frame consists of an outer moulding with a curved profile gilded with gold leaf, a flat white lacquered box, and a fine beaded moulding (string of pearls) in gold that borders the glass directly. The glass is an original antique mercury mirror, showing the characteristic iridescence and oxidations of this type of mirror. The back is fitted with a new parquet made of joined pine boards, ensuring the support of the old glass. The whole has been fully restored. Overall condition is excellent.
