Italian apothecary jar table lamp with new Dupion silk shade, 19th century.

Handcrafted by Amitābha Studio from a late 19th-century Italian albarello labelled "U. Martiat." with a bespoke mustard dupion silk lampshade. Meticulously made from an antique Italian Renaissance albarello, paired with a custom drum shade made near Amsterdam in mustard dupion silk. The glazed earthenware pot is painted with a portrait cartouche bearing "U. Martiat." above "V.P. 1684, " highlighted in ochre with cobalt and manganese scrolls.
