Granada Andalusian Albarello ceramic table lamp, hand-painted in the Moorish Nasrid tradition in deep turquoise or teal, cobalt blue, and saffron yellow on a crackled white glaze, paired with a new custom saffron yellow raw silk shade with Houlès passementerie trim. The cylindrical base is covered in dense interlacing arabesque, made by the Al Yarrar workshop in the Albaicín, Granada. Newly wired. Height includes lampshade. Hand-painted by the Al Yarrar workshop of Granada, the base is decorated in the Nasrid style that once covered the palace walls of the Alhambra. The painting is freehand throughout, and the base is signed by the workshop. Finished with custom brass fittings and a matching fabric wrapped yellow cord. About Cerámica Al Yarrar. Cerámica Al Yarrar is a family workshop in the Albaicín, the old Moorish quarter of Granada, devoted to reviving the ceramics of Al-Andalus. Using the traditional majolica double-firing technique, the workshop reproduces Andalusian, Nasrid, and Caliphal designs drawn from pieces of the tenth to fifteenth centuries. Its hand-painted green, blue, and manganese wares continue a long Granada tradition, and the workshop is recognized among the city's notable traditional ceramicists. Each lamp is crafted with deep reverence for the original form, using non-invasive methods that preserve the integrity of every antique or vintage vase. The lamp bases are paired with bespoke lampshades and each piece is finished with carefully selected cords, fittings, and handmade brass elements. The studio's work is guided by a commitment to sustainability, cultural heritage, and timeless design.
