George III mahogany buffet Viscountess Boyd of Ince Castle Chippendale

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare George III mahogany sideboard from Ince Castle, Saltash, which was restored in 1988 for Patricia Viscountess Boyd. A very rare find, with a photo of the sideboard in the bottom right corner of the dining room, where the left side is highlighted in red. It is a fantastic piece, clearly inspired by Chippendale with its square legs and hand-carved floral details. The interior of the sideboard has been modified to accommodate bottles and cutlery, all of which can be removed if the new owners wish. The piece shows signs of patina due to honest use and authentic age, particularly on the top. A French polish can be done at cost price if the new owners desire. Dimensions: Height 93 cm, Width 165 cm, Depth 77.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: please refer to the very detailed photos that form an integral part of the description regarding the condition. Please note that vintage and original items like leather seating will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. Regular waxing is recommended to prevent moisture loss. Hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods, as it may dry out and discolour.
