We are delighted to offer this magnificent 19th-century French Louis XV dressing table attributed to Alfred Beurdeley, fully restored. It is the finest example of a dressing table I have ever seen. The marquetry inlay is sublime, featuring musical and floral designs, characteristic of Alfred Beurdeley's work. The woods used include kingwood and tulipwood, walnut, and mahogany, all materials employed by Beurdeley in his marquetry masterpieces. This table has been completely restored; over 50 pieces of veneer were missing, all of which have been matched in wood, replaced, stained, and then the whole piece has been French polished. Dimensions: Height 70 cm, Width 82.5 cm, Depth 46.5 cm (measurements taken at the widest point). Condition: good, renovated, replacements made, wear consistent with age and use. Available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon.
