Raak B-1057 vintage design pendant 1968

Awesome original Raak pendant from 1968. In great vintage condition with the original label. The lamp consists of an off-white outer aluminium layer with circles cut out and an inner heat-resistant opaque plastic layer. The lamps have the original Raak sticker on the inside. Has affinity with the designs of Arne Jacobsen. The Dutch company Raak was founded in 1954 by Carel O. Lockhorn, previously an employee of Philips Lighting Eindhoven. Raak, which means 'to hit' in Dutch, implies design which precisely 'hits the nail on the head'. Raak is known for their modern minimalistic designs from the 1960s with a sophisticated futuristic style. Dimensions: height 20 cm, diameter 40 cm. Bulb E27, 1 X 100 watt maximum.
