Flos Relemme | Pierre and Achille Castiglione | Vintage 60's design

In the 1960's, pierre and achille castiglione designed this pendant lamp that still looks crisp and modern today. It was brought to market by italian manufacturer flos, under the name relemme. The lamp is made in white, fully made of metal. The round lamp shade is suspended with a heavy counterweight that lets you adjust the height at which is hangs. That way you can vary the height of the lamp between (approximately 50 and 90 centimeter below the ceiling. The lamp is mounted with a square metal box that consists of a ceiling plate, plus a box that contains the wiring. Very sturdy and elegant construction. Both the lamp shade (sticker) and the ceiling canopy (stamp) are marked. All parts are in excellent condition, only regular traces of use that are consistent for a lamp this age. The lamp has a black rubber ring around the edge of the lamp shade, this ring shows small age-related cracks, but is still perfectly useable. It uses a regular e27 light bulb, 60w max (or led) and 110v or 220v. Also works really well with a mirror bulb.
